This guide will provide the steps you need to edit a course or a session. You may want to change the start time or the name of the course. This guide shows you how to view the available options to change and how to cancel a course or a session.
We have split this article into 2 sections to help you easily find the relevant section:
To Edit or Delete A Course
Step 1: Head to the Coaching Module and choose the category/programme the course you would like to edit is located in.
Step 2: You can either press the blue 'Options' button to the right of the course and select 'Edit course' or click on the course.
Please note: If you click on the course, you will need to press the 'Edit course' button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Step 3: You'll then be able to change the following:
- Status - public, invite only, hidden or archived.
- Reference - A reference for the course which will help you identify course in the admin area
- Activity - What activity the course is
- Skill Level - Select all skill levels that apply to your session/course
- Age - The age restriction you want set
- Description/Additional information/Confirmation - the text to be included in description / additional information / confirmation fields.
- Reminder emails - whether or not reminder emails are on or off.
- Registration window - whether or not there is a registration window.
- Capacity - how many individuals can attend / book.
- Costs/Who can book/Discounts - the cost of course or session and who you would like to be able to book on.
- Session defaults settings - time, duration.
Once you have made changes to the course settings, you will need to click the 'Update existing sessions' for the remaining classes to have the new changes you just made.
Step 4: a) 'Save course' to save changes.
b) If you need to cancel the course, press the 'Cancel course'. If you choose to cancel a course, the following overlay will appear.
You will need to write an email and confirm you would like to cancel the course that will get sent out to any participants who are currently booked onto the course.
To Edit or Delete A Session Within A Course
Step 1: Go to the Coaching Module on the left hand side in the Admin area and then into the course you wish to edit/ remove the class from and select 'View sessions'.
Step 2: This will bring up a list of the sessions for that course, click onto the one you wish to edit.
Step 3: a) Here you can edit the session details, such as the date and time. Once you have done this save the class by clicking on the blue 'Save session' button.
b) If you wish to cancel a class due to bad weather or half term for example you can also do that here by selecting 'Cancel session'. This won't effect the other upcoming classes.
Step 4: When cancelling, a pop up box will appear where you have the option to send an email to let the player know and issue a refund. If you enable this option, you will be able to edit the content. You can then need to scroll down in the box and tick the ‘I confirm I want to cancel’ Box and select ‘Yes’ to confirm the cancellation.
Please note: If you do not have any players booked on, you will have the option to just Delete session.
A pop box will appear to confirm.
Step 5: The status of the session will then show as cancelled and the date will be removed from the website.
