Your coaching page will display your coaching courses for players to make course bookings if you want them visible to the public.
We have split this article into 2 sections to help you easily find the relevant section:
To get started head to the Website module and then select the 'coaching' tab on the top of the screen as shown in the screenshot below.
Split Coaching Pages (Individual Adult & Junior Coaching Pages)
Step 1: If you wish to split coaching web pages from one coaching page to two individual adult and junior coaching pages, you can do this by turning the feature on within the coaching page in the website module.
If you enable this your junior and adult coaching will be separated across two individual pages showing only junior or adult coaching sessions on the respective page.
Setting up your Coaching Page
The following steps are the same if you have split the pages into separate junior coaching and adult coaching web pages.
Your coaching page will display all active/public coaching courses that you have created within the Coaching Module for members/players to be able to book onto them.
Step 1: Firstly, set the navigation bar title for your coaching page.
Step 2: Toggle the 'Show in navigation' option on or off, depending on if you want the page to show on the live website.
Step 3:Input the navigation sort order number for your booking page. You can find more detail on this in our Web Page Navigation Order Guide here.
Step 4: Enter your page content, first upload a custom header image by clicking in the 'Upload a JPG..' box
Please note: For best viewing of this photo we recommend uploading a photo with dimensions of 1400px by 650px.
Remember: You must ensure that you only use photographs which you have the rights to. You must also ensure that you have obtained consent from any individuals (and in the case of individuals under 18, their parents/legal guardian) in the photograph to use the photograph in that manner. All children in photographs should be appropriately dressed and where possible photographed with other groups of children and/or adults. In uploading your own photographs you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Step 5: Type in a heading for the page content.
Step 6: Write your introduction message and any additional information you'd like to share with players about your clubs available coaching courses.. There is maximum character limit of 50,000.
Step 7: Next, you'll be able to select how your coaching courses/classes display by either selecting 'List view', 'Calendar view', both (default option) or to 'Hide' them from view.
If you select 'Hide' this will prevent any of your public/active courses from displaying on your website
There are 3 extra search filters you can choose to appear, this allows players to apply further search filters by 'Category', 'Skill level' or 'Venue', when searching for a coaching course/session.
This is how it will display on your Coaching web page if you have set it to 'Calendar view'. You can see in the top right of the image below, that if you select both that the player will have the option of how it will display:
Please note: If you select 'Calendar view' it will only show up to 28 days in advance, so any classes/courses that are due to start after that time frame will not be visible to book onto.
Step 8: Here you will be able to create up to 7 sub-pages to display on your coaching page.
You can find out more information about sub-pages in this support guide here.
Step 9: In the final section of creating/updating your coaching page, you'll be able to add in your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). This helps in where/how your website display in search engine results. You can find more information about SEO within this support guide here.
