Level Configuration
What is a Level Configuration?
Each Tournament Level (Junior, Adult, Wheelchair) can be configured to have its own unique set of properties. There is a wide variety of properties which can be specified. Examples of these Level Configuration Properties are Draw Format, Scoring Format, Application Fee, Length of Event, etc.
Who can create a Level Configuration?
A specific few people within National, Sections and Districts will have access to create and edit Level Configurations. Level Configurations are created from a hierarchy of National > Section > District. Using an example of the Draw Types option within a Level’s configuration, you can see below that National has specified 6 available options for this particular level.
National
Next, if this option is left unlocked by National, the Section may choose to further refine what options are available within the Section’s Level offering. As you can see in the example below, this Section has chosen to remove one of the available options. It is not possible for the Section to add additional options above what National has specified, only to further refine this by removing options.
Section
Next, if this option is left unlocked by the Section, the District may choose to further refine what options are available within the District’s Level offering. As you can see in the example below, the District has chosen to remove one more of the available options. It is not possible for the District to add additional options above what the Section has specified, only to further refine this by removing options.

What does it mean to “Lock” a property within a Level Configuration?
